"Drunk" cage held in New Orleans

 Nicolas Cage is in custody pending his actor of Hollywood appearance court Nicolas Cage was arrested after a drunken argument alleged with his wife in New Orleans.

Mr. Cage was accused of domestic violence, disturbing peace and public drunkenness.

He and his wife Alice Kim discussing outside a house in the French Quarter star of 47 years, said that they were renting, says a statement to the police.

Ms. Kim said he was not their and the winner of the Oscar grabbed her arm and began hitting cars, he added.

Then he yelled to a police officer who had seen his behaviour.

Mr. Cage is held in Orleans Parish Prison before an initial appearance later Saturday, police said.

Mr. Cage won the best actor Award 1995 for Leaving Las Vegas, in which he plays an alcoholic with a death wish.

An agent for Mr. Cage has not commented on the arrest.

Reports said the actor once owned a house in New Orleans and has already shot films in the city.
